NUOVO ANNO SCOLASTICO

Vorrei estendere il mio più caloroso benvenuto alla nostra amata Scuola, a tutti noi della nostra famiglia dell’Istituto Sacro Cuore. Vorrei ringraziare tutti per la fiducia che avete per la nostra scuola, i nostri insegnanti e i collaboratori.

Questo anno scolastico è segnato da molte “novità” in mezzo a noi: cambiamento, adattamento e continuità.

Prima della fine dell’ultimo anno scolastico, siamo stati “stravolti” dalla notizia che la nostra amata Suor Ester, che è stata la nostra preside per 28 anni, è stata eletta per essere responsabile della Congregazione delle Suore del Sacro Cuore di Gesù di Ragusa. Questo di per sé è importante, e l’onore che porta alla nostra cara suor Ester è distinto e notevole. Tuttavia è anche un cambiamento significativo nella nostra scuola e nelle nostre vite quotidiane perché la sua  presenza è stata costante e incrollabile nell’affrontare le molte sfide della nostra vita scolastica, spirituale e personale.

Un cambiamento storico che porta in tutti noi un periodo di adattamento; in particolare il fatto che una nuova preside, nella mia persona, dirigerà la scuola d’ora in poi. Guidata e influenzata dalle mani affettuose di suor Ester, guiderò questa scuola per raggiungere insieme a voi  i nostri obiettivi: promuovere un’ istruzione di qualità e dare cura e amore ai nostri studenti. Sotto la guida di suor Ester, ho imparato bene come indirizzare il nostro amato Istituto Sacro Cuore verso grandezza, eccellenza, amore e compassione. Naturalmente, devono essere implementati piccoli cambiamenti, ma ricordatevi  che questi cambiamenti devono sempre essere per il miglioramento di tutti; per gli alunni, genitori e insegnanti in modo che non vacillino mai nel loro sostegno e nella fiducia nella nostra Istituzione.

Con l’aiuto di tutti, in particolare dei genitori e degli insegnanti, vorrei chiedere il sostegno nel rendere la nostra scuola un modello per tutti. Vorrei che inaugurassimo un periodo di grandezza che abbiamo iniziato e continueremo fin quando Dio vorrà, per il bene dei nostri figli e anche per la nostra società. Chiediamo l’aiuto e la guida di nostro Signore nel guidare i nostri figli affinché diventino membri ispiratori della nostra comunità, uomini e donne che saranno sempre pronti a dare una mano, che penseranno sempre al miglioramento degli altri.

Instilliamo nei cuori e nelle menti dei nostri alunni  l’amore verso Dio e gli altri, affinché diventino persone degne e significative che modelleranno un mondo migliore per il futuro.

In questo periodo di grande adattamento, vorrei assicurare a tutti voi, miei cari studenti, genitori e insegnanti, che la mano di suor Ester sarà sempre con noi, per mostrarci la strada per preservare la nostra cultura e anche coltivare i cambiamenti che ci aiuterà a sviluppare e crescere insieme non solo come una scuola, ma come una famiglia.

Mentre ci trasformiamo in “grandezza”, ricordiamo che i nostri alunni, presenti qui e ora, sono il passato incarnato e il futuro che diventa. Lavoriamo per dare testimonianza nella nostra società. Con il vostro  aiuto, nulla è impossibile.

Ancora una volta, un benvenuto all’Istituto Sacro Cuore. Possa quest’anno essere fecondo per noi con il tesoro degli insegnamenti di suor Ester e sotto la mia direzione come preside della nostra amata Istituzione.

NEW SCHOOL YEAR

First and foremost, I would like to extend my warmest welcome back to our beloved School, all of us in our Istituto Sacro Cuore family.  I would like to thank all of you for the trust that you have for our school, our teachers and staff.

This school year marks many firsts in our midst; that of change, adjustment and continuity.

Before the last school year ended, we have been rocked by news that our beloved Sr. Ester, who has been our Principal for 28 years, has finally been summoned to be in charge of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus of Ragusa.  This in itself is momentous and the honor which it brings to our dear Sr. Ester is distinguished and remarkable.  But this is indeed a significant change in our school and our daily lives because Sr. Ester’s presence has been steadfast and unwavering in facing the many challenges of our academic, spiritual and personal lives .

This historic change brings in all of us a period of adjustment, primarily the actuality that a new Principal, in my person, shall be heading the school from now on.  Guided and influenced by the loving hands of Sr. Ester, I shall lead this school to  achieve our objectives in bringing the best education, care and love to our students, our children.  Under the tutelage of Sr. Ester, I have learned well on how I shall steer our beloved IstitutoSacroCuore towards greatness, excellence, love and compassion.  Of course, small changes shall be implemented, but always remember that these changes shall always be for the betterment of everybody; for the children, the parents and the teachers who never waver in their support and trust in our Institution.

With the help of everybody, especially the parents and the teachers, I would like to ask for your support in making our School the model school for all of Sicily and even Italy.  I would like us to usher in a period of greatness that we have started will continue on till time immemorial, for our children’s sake and for our society as well.  Let us ask for the help and guidance from our Lord in shepherding our children to become inspiring members of our community, men and women who will always be ready to give a helping hand, who will always think of the betterment of others.

Let us instill in the hearts and minds of our students  love towards God and others, that they become worthy and significant persons who shall shape a better world for the future.

In this period of great adjustment, I would like to assure all of you, my beloved students, parents and teachers,that Sr. Ester’s helping hand will always be upon us, to show us the way in preserving our culture and also cultivating changes that will help us develop and grow together not just as a school, but as a family.

As we transform towards greatness, let us remember our guiding declaration for the beginning of our school year: Ourstudents, present here and now, is the past embodied and the future becoming. Let us work towards achieving our testimony to our society.  With your help, nothing is impossible.

Once again, welcome back to Istituto Sacro Cuore.  May this year be as fruitful to us as a family, under the guidance of Sr. Ester, under my direction as the new Principal of our beloved Institution.
